Timothy J. Ballard is Co-Founder, President & CEO of Buchanan Street Partners. In his tenure at Buchanan, Mr. Ballard has led the entrepreneurial development of Buchanan’s investment platform, which has completed over $8 billion of real estate debt and equity investments. Over the past 20+ years, Ballard has built high performing teams that currently operate an investment portfolio consisting of approximately $1.5 billion of real estate assets in the Western United States.

Mr. Ballard has overall responsibility for Buchanan’s strategic direction, investment making and asset management. Buchanan manages multiple funds and separate accounts for the purpose of investing in real estate debt and equity across multi-family, self-storage, office and industrial properties. These funds manage portfolios on behalf of large public pension plans, high-net-worth investors and family offices.

Mr. Ballard has 33 years of real estate experience and holds dual degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and The Wharton School in Economics and Real Estate Finance. His professional affiliations include YPO, PREA and NAIOP. Ballard also serves as a strategic advisor to significant high net worth families as it relates to their real estate investment strategies.
