Timothy J. Ballard is Co-Founder, President & CEO of Buchanan Street Partners. In his tenure at Buchanan, Mr. Ballard has led the entrepreneurial development of Buchanan’s investment platform, which has completed over $8 billion of real estate debt and equity investments. Over the past 20+ years, Mr. Ballard has built high performing teams that currently operate an investment portfolio consisting of more than $1.5 billion of real estate assets in the Western United States.

Mr. Ballard has overall responsibility for Buchanan’s strategic direction, investment decision making, and asset management. His leadership has guided the firm through multiple real estate cycles, consistently aligning investor goals with thoughtful, disciplined strategies across a range of market conditions.

In addition to his role at Buchanan, Mr. Ballard serves as a strategic advisor to prominent high-net-worth families, offering counsel on real estate investment strategies tailored to long-term wealth preservation and growth.

Mr. Ballard holds dual degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and The Wharton School in Economics and Real Estate Finance. His professional affiliations include YPO, the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), and NAIOP.
