 Bob C. Peterson
Managing DirectorBob C. Peterson is a Managing Director responsible for identifying and investing in value-add debt and equity opportunities on behalf of the Buchanan Funds. Mr. Peterson was previously the Chief Investment Officer at Cornerstone Real Estate Funds and Executive Vice President of Acquisitions and Dispositions for Koll Bren Schreiber Realty Advisors. Mr. Peterson has 27 years of industry experience, primarily with real estate investment management firms and his diverse background includes acquisitions, financing, leasing and management. Mr. Peterson has led the investment process on over $5 billion of office, industrial, retail and multi-family transactions. He has served on the Executive Management and Investment Committees for nearly 20 years, and has served on the Board of Directors of a public real estate company. Mr. Peterson is a CCIM, CPM and is a licensed California real estate broker. Mr. Peterson earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois and is an active member of NAIOP.
 Robert J. Dougherty
Executive Vice President
Robert J. Dougherty is responsible for ensuring strict underwriting standards, risk analysis, due diligence, pricing and structuring on Buchanan investments. He has 20 years of commercial real estate experience including 10 years with CarrAmerica Realty Corporation in Washington, DC. Mr. Dougherty has an extensive background in acquisitions, financing, and asset management of office properties and retail centers that includes property transactions totaling in excess of $1 billion. Immediately prior to joining Buchanan, Mr. Dougherty headed up his own retail investment advisory firm and also held investment and asset management positions with First Washington Realty and The Crosland Group, Inc.  Michael Hurst
Vice President
Michael Hurst is responsible for assisting in the structuring, underwriting and pricing of Buchanan’s principal debt products such as note originations and note purchases. Mr. Hurst has nine years of experience in commercial real estate and was previously a Vice President in the National/Institutional Principal Investment Division at LaSalle Bank. Mr. Hurst received his B.S. in Finance and Accounting from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
 Megan M. Burke
Assistant Vice President
Megan M. Burke is responsible for underwriting, market analysis, creation of capital market presentations and placement of debt and equity. Ms. Burke graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with a split emphasis in Real Estate Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California. She is an active member of NAIOP and ULI.

 Keith A. WilliamsAssistant Vice President
Keith A. Williams is responsible for the underwriting and sourcing of Buchanan debt and equity investments. Prior to joining Buchanan, Mr. Williams was a Vice President with Bear Stearns Commercial Mortgage. Mr. Williams underwrote, closed, and securitized $2.8 billion of commercial real estate loans while at Bear Stearns. As a Vice President, Mr. Williams originated and closed $52 million in commercial real estate loans. Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a Real Estate Finance Emphasis from the University of Southern California with a Minor in Philosophy. He is a member of ULI and NAIOP, and remains active with USC’s Marshall School of Business.

 Matthew R. Haugen
Senior Associate, Investment Analyst
Matthew R. Haugen is responsible for the underwriting and due diligence of potential equity and debt investments. Mr. Haugen graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance from the University of Southern California.
