Buchanan Street Partners' Challenge for Children Event Raises $354,000 for United Way's Success By 6 Initiative and $25,000 for Miocean Foundation
- 42 Real Estate Industry Teams Compete in Annual Philanthropy Event
Newport Beach, CA (September 21, 2006) - More than 350 real estate professionals battled it out
under the sun for Buchanan Street Partners' annual Challenge for Children event Friday, September 15 at
Newport Dunes in Newport Beach, CA. This year's multi-sport competition raised $354,000 for Success By
6, a nationwide United Way initiative promoting healthy development and school readiness for children
from birth to age six, and $25,000 for the Miocean Foundation.
The all-day event pitted 42 real estate industry teams against each other in volleyball, basketball, a
kayak-run relay, and a surf paddle relay. AEI Consultants took home the first place trophy, followed by
Buchanan Street Partners in second place, and Nexus Development in third.
"We are inspired every year by the success of this event. The funds collected this year will go to
support some very important initiatives," said Robert Brunswick, founder and president of Buchanan
Street Partners. "Buchanan Street Partners is committed to giving back, and we thank all the teams
that came out to have some fun with us for a great cause."
