Buchanan Street Partners Provides Another Financing Solution for Chase Merritt
- Buchanan Street Partners Arranges $14 million financing package for Chase Merritt
Newport Beach, CA (September 12, 2006) - Buchanan Street Partners, a national real estate
investment bank, structured a $14 million financing package with senior and mezzanine debt for Chase
Merritt to acquire the Titan office building located in San Antonio, Texas. This assignment is the
second transaction this quarter in which Buchanan has represented the client to procure capital for
a value-add opportunity.
"Chase Merritt wanted to realize this great investment opportunity so certainty of close was a big
issue," said Chris Dornin, vice president on the Newport Beach Debt & Structured Finance team. "In
addition they wanted a creative structure that would maximize their returns while allowing them an
opportunity to invest in more underutilized assets."
The financing was arranged through Buchanan's relationship with RBS Greenwich Capital and included a
$12.2 million permanent loan with a $1.8 million mezzanine tranche.
